difficult week.

it's been a hard week honestly. at work i've felt a little blah... nothing really bad has happened... the Lord has sustained me through all the circumstances. last weekend was definitely a surprise. my sister is going to have another baby. yeah it's a lot to think about that's for sure. but i totally believe the Lord for his goodness. he is so faithful and i am so in love with kiara - i know it will be the same for the next little one. plus, i believe this is going to bring SUCH restoration in our family. it's great to be reminded that the Lord wants their freedom more than i do and all i really need to do is step back out of the way, join up on his team and say, "whatever you ask of me Lord, that's what i'll do."

i went to bsf for the first time this week and i've been catching up on my lesson for this coming week. i just finished reading the packet of notes from last week (on acts) and i realized how much i learned! it is truly amazing how much you can miss when reading the word. it opens my eyes yet again to see how satan can be SO tricky at blinding us in such subtle ways!!! this week we start studying thessalonians. that Paul is SO unbeleiveable. his passion and display of TRUE LOVE - Christ's love is outrageous!! and his fruit of the spirit which are just erupting everywhere toward these churches is astounding. i love it. i want to be like that in my heart for others. to find such joy and LIFE in the work of God in other people. truly blows me away. such a challenge.

did you know i've been reading through a chronological bible? i am. it's a daily reading and you eventually read the entire bible in a year. so intense. i LOVE it. again i feel like the word is more alive and real than i've ever experienced. reading about all these people - i realize they are SIMPLY human. as much as we adore and life them up as people of faith and obedience and hearers of God - they are just as human as you and i. i am reading about the story of joseph already (i feel like genesis is flying by!) and he went through so much injustice and the Lord favored him SO much.... he was taken care of ALL the time! I love it. the same for the others too... God always saw their situations, brought justice and discipline where needed and was always abundantly overflowing with grace and compassion.

i've also reading CS lewis. it's a daily reading too - just an excerpt from his books... but i love it. makes me think...

i went to the Y tonight - to try and sign up... it's only $25 instead of the $75 membership fee! WOOOHOO... I want to try for scholarship but i can't find a couple of my pay stubs! ugh... so i might just sign up and pay full price and go.... i didn't see the full facility but it looked really nice and i'm excited to go - it will bring good balance to my life, i think!

last night i had coffee with a new friend, erin - it was so fun - just talking - and we have a mutual dear friend - tiffani - which also brought much laughter and joy to our conversations. coffee times have become some of my favorite times meeting with new people... speaking of coffee - i went to sol coffee this morning and brought cocoas to the accounting people today - that place is so cute - and adorable... plus they have wireless internet... (i think i need a laptop) *smile*

tomorrow im going to volunteer at the crossing - from noon to four just setting up and getting reading for their opening...

for now i'm going to go to bed okay? i rented a couple movies tonight and i can't even stay up to watch them... and did you know there are no more late fees at blockbuster?! isn't that brilliant?

goodnight friends. love you.

BGIRL.
