coffee and a fun friend...

hi friends!

it's been awhile since i've last written... please accept my apologies. (: it's monday night and i just returned from starbucks with tony speck. we had a blast. such fun conversation. it was very encouraging and really just a LOT of fun! and for those of you who do not know tony... we had some of the same classes at Greenville and he plays football there... tony actually lives out here and is visiting for his spring break. i love his honesty, joy, passion, love for God's word, his listening skills are impeccable *hehe* and really he's just a hoot. makes me laugh. definitely the highlight of my day. today work was really boring. i was tired all day - and alison was gone - home sick with the flu, i guess. so i was quite alone for most of the day in the BDC. i cleaned up all the calls from the weekend... SO many open opportunities. crazy stuff. after work i went to the Y. it was SO nice - i took one of my discipleship journals that i haven't been reading and did some catching up! experiencing the love of the trinity. some cool articles...

last weekend was so fun!! sean's birthday was on Saturday. a grroup of us went to red robin (seemingly the only restaraunt we go to) and then bowling... now i have to tell you... i don't even like bowling and i'm a bit insecure about it. so this was definitely a fear breaker!! it was a blast though... and i was SOOOO blessed by everyone. whether i got two gutter balls or a strike the joy and encouragement was the same. SO fun!! everyone was great... i LOVVVEEEE being around people who have found their identity in Jesus. it seriously is a whole other culture and lifestyle. jesus and his power, and work in lives is simply genius. (: so on Sunday - the SOL men had the first night of full on espresso with the portable cart. WHOA MAMA. i'll take a picture of it this weekend. it is amazing - like the real deal, seriously... anyway, mandon and i got sean the coolest gift!! night lights for his aquarium. both of the guys just LOVE those fishies and aquatic stuff. which totally blesses me because i LOVVVVEEEE the water!! plus they're both into sailing which is just FABULOUS and INCREDIBLE!! makes me VERYYYY excited for the summer.

guys, i am SO excited. i love having tony here and next week Scotty comes. it's so funny - he is like "famous" here. *laugh* it's like the talk of the town, seriously. it cracks me up how people are SOOOO pumped up and waiting in anticipation for this man... yes, i think he is great too - but really - i am so excited for a familiar face - the Greenville fun Scotty - who hangs out with tiff and dave and kyle and the gang back in IL. awwww the fun memories. makes me think of lots of people and fun experiences/memories...

i sure do miss greenville these days. i don't think i miss the way it was when i was there - but just the people... it's definitely a whole new world these days. life changes so quickly... and speaking of - i got a new update for jenefer - my compassion child in the philippines. she is getting SOOO big... 10 years old this october... wowwwieeeee... she is precious. so grown up looking. i hope one day to meet this little one. for her to know jesus in an intimate and simply real way...

alright i gotta stop babbling and get to bed... i've had too much starbucks lately... :p - be blessed, be loved.
